A Sneak Peak of Our New Client Welcome Packet

We live in an area where the demand for skilled labor is high, especially with shortages in labor and materials. Unfortunately, high quality contracting has become less and less common. As Idaho Falls continues to grow, Elevated Deck & Fence is committed to providing you with a high quality experience. This why we want to welcome you to Elevated Deck & Fence and give you an inside look into our process and client welcome packet.

Let's start by meeting our team!

Steven is the owner of Elevated Deck & Fence. Established in 2022 Steven's goal was to elevate the contractor experience after he discovered the shortcomings while working in the deck and fence industry throughout college. When he's not working on your project, you can find Steven hunting, camping, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.

Andrea is the office manager at Elevated Deck & Fence. You will likely speak with her on the phone or see her designs through our logo, branding, pamphlets, emails, and social media accounts. You can find Andrea and her daughter in our office working on something that will make Steven's life as a small business owner a little easier. Outside of work you can find Andrea crafting, sewing, golfing, or exploring National Parks.

Cole is one of our lead deck builders. He will be your go to guy for questions about your build. Cole is dedicated to the craftsmanship of your build, please don't hesitate to bring up any concerns. When he's not working on your project, you can find him building fishing rods.

Gid is one of our lead deck builders. He will be your go to guy for questions about your build as well. Gid is dedicated to making your vision come to life, please don't hesitate to bring up any concerns. When he's not working on your project, you can find him golfing and enjoying the outdoors.

To kick off your project we need a few things from you. First we will confirm your build details, including the size, grade, color, handrail, and any other details relevant to your build. Next, a 50% deposit or prepay is required before we can order your materials and put you on our schedule. Prepay receives a 3% discount. We will also need to know if you have any pets and how you would like us to access the job site (e.g. gate on the left side of the house). Finally, keep an eye out for your build start date. You will receive a notification from our House Call Pro system notifying you of your project start date. Please add this number and/or email address to your contacts so you don't miss any communication from us.

Next, the BIG details:

Payments  - We accept checks and credit card payments. Checks can be mailed to our shop or dropped off at our secure drop box located at 3887 American Way Suite B Idaho Falls, ID 83402. Credit card payments are processed at a fee of 3%. We can only accept credit card payments of $9,999 at a time, therefore, multiple transactions may be required.

Inspections - Multiple inspections will be required to take place throughout the build process. Unfortunately, during these times we are at the mercy of the inspector which means we could be back the next day or longer depending on the schedule. A surprising inspection that takes place is after we dig the footings. The inspector is required to check depth which means digging footings and pouring footings will take place on different days.

Orientation & Final Walkthrough - On day one we will need you present to complete an initial walkthrough and finalize layout. Upon completion of your project, we will schedule a final walkthrough. You or an authorized representative is required to be there in-person to sign off on the project. This will be your last chance to bring up any concerns with your build. We will collect a final payment at this time, if necessary.

Now, the little details:

Here is an overview of the steps to expect to take place during your build. If you have questions about these steps or the process, please don't hesitate to ask.

Handrail

We will install the handrail. This process typically takes 1-2 days.

Final walkthrough

Once we complete your project we will do a final walkthrough with you in-person and collect a final payment, if necessary.
