We recently finished this beautiful ground-level deck in the wooded landscape of Island Park, Idaho. This project focused on creating a seamless transition from the home to the natural surroundings while using materials that withstand the area’s heavy snow.

Key Project Features:

• Rustic Warmth: We used Trex Spiced Rum decking, an earthy burnt umber with realistic wood grains that perfectly complements the mountain environment and the home’s aesthetic.
• Wrap-Around Stairs: The multi-tiered, wrap-around staircase provides easy access to the deck from any point in the yard, eliminating the need for railings and keeping the view of the forest completely open.
• Clean Transitions: By incorporating mitered corners on the perimeter boards, we achieved a high-end, furniture-grade finish that highlights the deck’s unique geometric shape.
