Our Fence Process

A fence installation, when done properly, should be a fairly seamless process. With new fence installations, the process is even simpler. For fence replacements, tear out and removal of old fence and concrete may add a day to your fence replacement. We are going to outline our process in this blog post so you know what to expect from us.

Planning and Design

First, we need to determine the purpose of your fence. Privacy? Security? Aesthetics? Once that is determined we will help you check local rules and regulations regarding fence design, height, and placement. It will be important to consider your neighbors and how the fence might impact them as well. Homeowners are responsible for being aware of the HOA regulations regarding fencing height and style. Finally, you will need to choose the type of fence that best suits your needs. Our most popular and common fence builds are vinyl, cedar, and chain-link.

Homeowners are additionally responsible for any and all permitting as required. We will contact/schedule dig line to mark utilities. Homeowners will also need to trim trees and bushes, identify property lines, and mark sprinkler heads and lines.

Ordering and Layout

Next, we will confirm distance and layout so we can order the correct amount of posts and material. Additionally, we will need to determine how many gates you need and at what distance. The gates are installed last to ensure they are built to fit the exact opening of the fence.

Setting Posts

We will mark the planned post-hole locations using spray paint. Next, we will dig post holes and ensure they are wider at the bottom for stability. We will then mix and pour concrete into each hole and set the posts in the wet concrete. It will typically take 24-48 hours to fully dry.

Attaching Fencing Material

Next, we will attend the fencing panels or rolls to the posts using the appropriate hardware. We will follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation and ensure the fence is level and secure.

Finishing and Maintenance

Finally, we will install gates and hardware, if needed. It is important to regularly inspect and maintain your fence to prevent damage or deterioration.

Remember that the process may vary depending on the type of fence you choose, the terrain, weather conditions, and other factors.
