A Shady Oasis

When it comes to enhancing your outdoor space, both pergolas and deck covers are a great choice. They offer shade, they elevate your outdoor living space, and offer a place to gather and relax. But which one best fits your needs?

Pergolas

Pergolas are known for their open and airy design. They provide partial shade while still allowing sunlight to shine through. How much shade they provide is determined by the spacing and size of the crossbeams on the roof. Pergolas are ideal for individuals who enjoy an open concept while having a designated space for relaxation, dining, or spending time with friends and family. You can personalize your pergola with climbing plants, lighting, curtains or drapes, and furniture and decor.

Deck Covers

Deck covers offer a more enclosed design with a complete roof providing protection from the elements. It offers a cozy retreat where you can escape the sun, rain, or snow to enjoy a comfortable outdoor experience. Deck covers additionally offer a space for relaxation, dining, or entertaining. You can personalize your deck cover with outdoor lighting or fans.

The biggest difference between the two is the design, pergolas have an open roof design, while deck covers have a fully enclosed roof. Pergolas only offer partial shade, while a cover will provide complete shade and protection from the elements.

The choice between a pergola and cover depends on your needs and preferences. Do you prefer an open space with partial shade or full protection? Do you want an outdoor dining area where you don’t have to worry about the rain damaging your furniture or do you want to add style and aesthetics to your outdoor space? Both can offer a backyard oasis and are a great addition to allow a space for creativity, family time, peace and relaxation. Each can become a gathering place for parties, barbecues, and cozy evenings with your family. With furniture, plants, lighting, and your own unique style, you can design a space you love!
